My friend and I chose to go here for lunch on Saturday because we were looking for somewhere new to go, and because it ranked as the 5th best restaurant in Bedford on Tripadvisor.I'll start off with the positives: my chicken pesto ciabatta was tasty, they had a nice selection of drinks, and a great range of delicious ice creams. Further downstream, the course of the river becomes winding, making a long detour via Notre-Dame-de-Stanbridge, then crossing the last rapids at Pike River to finish its course through swampy forests. I had been to the Pantry for lunch a number of times and for dinner in the winter months and have always enjoyed the good Italian food , the lively atmosphere and the friendly service . My only problem was that for a starter at under £5, there was too much of it. Drinks were refreshing crodino and an Aperol spritzer very welcome on a boiling hot day.
